About & Methodology
How we work, where our data comes from, and why you can trust our calculations.
Our Mission
We believe that where you incorporate your business shouldn't be limited by geography or access to information. CompanyRoute provides transparent, data-driven tools that help entrepreneurs make informed decisions about company formation across jurisdictions.
Our Methodology
Transparency is our core principle. Here's exactly how our tax simulator and country guides work:
Data Sources
All tax rates, fees, and regulations in our platform are sourced from official government publications:
| USA | IRS (Internal Revenue Service), Delaware Division of Corporations, Wyoming Secretary of State |
| UK | HMRC (HM Revenue & Customs), Companies House |
| Estonia | Estonian Tax and Customs Board (EMTA), e-Business Register |
| Ireland | Revenue Commissioners, Companies Registration Office (CRO) |
| Dubai/UAE | Federal Tax Authority (FTA), respective Free Zone authorities (DMCC, IFZA) |
| Singapore | IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore), ACRA |
| Netherlands | Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax Authority), KVK (Chamber of Commerce) |
How Calculations Work
- 1Revenue input is processed entirely client-side in your browser — no data is sent to our servers
- 2Corporate tax is calculated using the official headline rate and applicable brackets for each jurisdiction
- 3State/local taxes are applied where relevant (e.g., Delaware franchise tax, UK NIC)
- 4Formation and annual fees reflect actual published government and registered agent costs
- 5Net profit = Revenue - Corporate Tax - State Tax - Formation Cost - Annual Fee
Limitations & Disclaimer
Our simulator provides estimates based on standard scenarios. It does not account for: individual tax treaties, transfer pricing, CFC rules, substance requirements, or personal income tax obligations. Results should not be considered tax advice. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax professional before making formation decisions.
Update Frequency
We review and update all tax rates at least quarterly. Major changes (budget announcements, new legislation) are reflected within 48 hours. Each country page shows the last verified date.
