Nominee Director

A third-party director appointed to a company's board to meet local residency requirements or protect the privacy of the actual owners.

A nominee director acts on behalf of the beneficial owner. While their name appears on public corporate registries, they typically have no operational control over the business. This arrangement is often used in offshore jurisdictions or countries that require at least one resident director (e.g., Singapore, UK).
